CW Garnet supplies high-performance garnet blasting abrasives for a wide variety of blasting applications. The blast media from CW comes in a variety of grades from Coarse through Fine to serve any industrial need.
Grades
◆Coarse 20/40mesh, 30/40mesh
Used for general purpose repair and maintenance blasting including removal of weathered paint, rust, mill scale, and other coatings from surfaces of stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum parts and etc.
◆Medium 30/60mesh
Utilized for new steel, light paint and rust removal and special maintenance applications requiring reduced profiles.
◆Fine 60mesh, 80mesh
Applicable for light blasting requiring a clean surface and minimum anchor profile including brush-off blast or high-pressure water blast system.
◆Extra Fine 120mesh, 150mesh, until 500mesh is available for special application based on customer’s request.
Garnet abrasives are harder, heavier and more durable than other blast abrasives. CW’s range of garnet abrasives cut faster and recycle efficiently, significantly increasing productivity while reducing consumption of the abrasive media as well as the costs to handle it, collect it and dispose of it.
Blasting with garnet from CW produces a clean surface virtually free of embedments, rogue peaks and troughs. Our blast media produces a clean substrate with a uniform surface profile that improves both coating adhesion and life.
A non-ferrous, 100% natural, inert mineral containing less than 1% free silica, CW range of garnet abrasives poses little to no health or environmental risks. It produces less dust than other blasting media, improves operator visibility and reduces cleanup costs while minimizing the impact on adjoining work areas.
